C. H. Muhammed Koya Library is committed to providing services for differently-abled patrons. Patrons seeking assistance are encouraged to contact the particular staff of the concerned section. They will enable you to make the most efficient use of the library facilities, materials and services.
Assistive Technology in the Libraries
All library public computers include the ORCA Screen Reader and assistive software. Assistive Technology workstations are available in the library.
Multi-lingual scanning & reading device
Kibo XS is a multi-lingual scanning & reading device that can seamlessly connect with any PC/Laptop as well any Android smartphone to read any printed or handwritten documents in audio across 11 Indian- English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit and multiple overseas languages.
Users can also Download the scanned content in Editable formats (like .doc, .docx, etc.), Translate them to the language of their choice and have it read out in audio or save it to Kibo Cloud for multi-device content access. Thereby, Kibo XS can be a great tool for Content digitization and Document management as well.
Digital Talking Books
There is a production unit for Digital Talking Books and the library has converted study materials and texts books to digital talking books.

Reading Assistants/Scribe Registration/ Request
C H Mohammed Koya Library provides reading assistance to visually impaired students. On request assistance is made available to visually impaired users. PG students and research scholars can register online to act as volunteers in this program. The students can memorise or note down in braille while the volunteers read for them.
